The strength and success of this initiative relies heavy on the shoulders of the citizens returning home from incarceration and the at-risk youth which makes organization unique in so many ways

Our History
Our mission is to curb the crime rate, significantly . We believe that we can see a reduction in crime once the criminal is gainfully employed . We can also conceive that the at-risk youth can go from the perpetrators of this city to the protectors of this city by having the right opportunities to do so. The Chicago Peace Initiative has
Our mission is to curb the crime rate, significantly . We believe that we can see a reduction in crime once the criminal is gainfully employed . We can also conceive that the at-risk youth can go from the perpetrators of this city to the protectors of this city by having the right opportunities to do so. The Chicago Peace Initiative has created a formula that allows us to restore these communities from being on a low socioeconomical level to a high one by addressing the main factors in our communities. Health (mental and physical) and economics are just two of these factors.

Also in our program, we help 18 years old and up find employment. The jobs that we have to offer requires no drug screens nor background checks. Most of these jobs are factory and warehouse jobs which only requires ones to only be good with his or her hands. Through the Deborah Berry staffing agency, the Chicago Peace Initiative has help
Also in our program, we help 18 years old and up find employment. The jobs that we have to offer requires no drug screens nor background checks. Most of these jobs are factory and warehouse jobs which only requires ones to only be good with his or her hands. Through the Deborah Berry staffing agency, the Chicago Peace Initiative has helped to employ over 2,500 citizens returning home from incarceration over the last 8 years.
We also offer economic literacy so that the recipients of our program can learn how to manage his or her money if they choose to do so.
